According to witnesses, "the roofs of the houses in the village nearly blew off," indicating the power of the explosive charge from the drone that detonated. The publication notes that the crater formed confirms the significance of the explosion.
Representatives of the local administration, emergency services, and law enforcement are working at the scene. The military prosecutor's office has already initiated a criminal investigation.
The regional police department reported that an analysis of the drone debris found outside the settlement is underway.
On the same day, a threat level for drone attacks was declared in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation, which borders West Kazakhstan. This was reported by Governor Yevgeny Solntsev on his Telegram channel.
It is worth noting that this is not the first case of drones being found in the western part of Kazakhstan; however, they were previously discovered intact.
