The Vice Mayor of Bishkek, Azamat Kadyrov, announced an initiative at a recent press conference regarding the use of the existing railway in the city for public transport needs. This will establish a connection between the eastern and western parts of the capital, as well as link Bishkek with cities such as Kant, Tokmok, and Kara-Balta.

Kadyrov noted that the General Plan includes the introduction of tram lines, which could be one of the steps toward improving the public transport system.

Additionally, he mentioned plans for the construction of a railway in the northern part of Bishkek in the future.

It should be reminded that earlier the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, stated that the city administration decided not to extend the railway beyond the city limits.
