During the meeting, the president emphasized that Kyrgyzstan differs from many countries in the region in that it has already adopted a law on virtual assets, and a clear state policy in this area is being formed.
“In our country, the market for virtual assets is actively developing, the number of licensed participants is growing, the regulatory framework is being strengthened, and new infrastructure initiatives are being implemented. Kyrgyzstan ranks 19th in the global index of cryptocurrency adoption and confidently leads in Central Asia,” noted the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, Farhat Iminov, the head of the National Council's secretariat, presented a report on the new law on virtual assets, as well as the introduction of the concepts of "state cryptocurrency reserve" and "state mining."
