A Center for Applied AI and Cybersecurity Research and Innovation will be established in the Kyrgyz Republic

The Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation Bakhtiyar Orozov announced plans to establish a Center for Research and Innovation in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity in Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding statement was made at a meeting of the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies.

He emphasized that the country is revising educational standards for secondary and higher vocational education with the aim of integrating new modules related to financial literacy and blockchain technologies. Work is also underway to prepare qualified specialists.

Educational modules on topics related to machine learning, data analysis, and neural networks are already being implemented in educational institutions, which contributes to the modernization of specialized programs.

“The Center will be based at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov and will focus on developing digital and intelligent solutions for various sectors, including education, healthcare, energy, emergency management, and industry,” the minister noted.

In addition, new educational directions are planned to be added, such as blockchain engineering, legal regulation of digital assets, digital security, fintech, and electronic payment systems, as well as topics related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analysis, and intelligent systems.
