School teachers will receive a salary increase.

On June 2, a decision was made to increase the salaries of school teachers, informed the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Elvira Sarieva. According to her, the decision was confirmed today at an extraordinary meeting of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The allocation of 2.2 billion soms is intended for raising the salaries of teachers in general education organizations and instructors in the school component of vocational schools starting from September 1 of this year.

“This news is intended for all our teachers. The quality of school education directly depends on the educators. The Ministry will not stop at what has been achieved and will systematically work to enhance the status of teachers,” stated Elvira Sarieva.
