According to the National Statistical Committee of the KR, from January to May 2015, the average monthly salary of Kyrgyz citizens was 12,247 soms. This is 7.5 percent higher than last year.
According to the National Statistical Committee of the KR, the highest salaries are offered to specialists in the financial sector. They can expect an average of 28,514 soms.
In second place in the ranking of lucrative professions are programmers. According to the agency, IT workers can earn an average of 24,718 soms per month.
Rounding out the top three are workers in the fields of heating, gas, steam, and electricity supply. Their average monthly salary is 21,100 soms.
The Secretary General of the National Confederation of Employers of Kyrgyzstan, Elmira Dunganaeva, spoke about such trends in the domestic labor market.
"The work of programmers and marketers remains highly paid because specialists in this field are worth their weight in gold in Kyrgyzstan. The demand for mechanics, biologists, and engineers in the USSR has shifted to the demand for qualified financiers with the development of the business market. And now, as companies gain the status of LLCs, there is a need to hire highly qualified accountants," the expert said.
She noted that joining the EAEU could exacerbate the situation in Kyrgyzstan's labor market and lead to a shortage of valuable personnel.
"The EAEU opens up great opportunities for economic, IT, and technical specialists, and a Kyrgyz salary of 25,000 soms will not be able to retain them from the prospect of earning two to three times more for the same work in Russia or Kazakhstan," Dunganaeva said.
According to the National Statistical Committee of the KR, since the beginning of 2015, there has been a significant increase in the growth rate of average monthly salaries. In construction — by 18.4 percent, in administrative and support activities — by 17.8 percent, and in real estate transactions — by 20.2.
