The Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic proposes to allocate 10 million soms to the Manuscript Fund of the Ch. Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, having reviewed the state of the Manuscript Fund of the Ch. Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature at a meeting, proposes to allocate 10 million soms to the Manuscript Fund with the aim of preserving the materials of the fund, converting them to electronic format, translating texts from Arabic and Persian, as well as preserving over 60 variants of the unique epic "Manas," folklore, and works of akyn poetry.
According to the Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Academician A.A. Akmataliev, the Manuscript Fund of the Institute of Language and Literature holds an inexhaustible spiritual wealth of the Kyrgyz people, which has invaluable scientific significance and serves as a source of moral education for future generations. It contains materials that have no analogs throughout Central Asia. Previously, significant assistance was provided by UNESCO for material and technical support and for the conversion of materials to electronic format. If 10 million soms are allocated, many publications and works will be released based on the materials of the Manuscript Fund. "I express special gratitude to the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic K. Osmonaliyev for their support and understanding in preserving the scientific heritage of the country," noted A.A. Akmataliev.
