The Kyrgyz language is now available in Google Translate!

The translation feature for the Kyrgyz language has officially appeared in the most popular online translation service, Google Translate. This was announced by the head of the public foundation "Bizdin Muras," Chorobek Sadanbekov.

According to him, after several years of work, Google has finally officially added the Kyrgyz language to its online translation service. Sadanbekov noted that this is a significant breakthrough for Kyrgyzstan.

– A notification that the service has included the Kyrgyz language arrived on February 17. Information appeared on the official blog on February 18. This is a major breakthrough for the Kyrgyz language, – emphasized Chorobek Sadanbekov. – More than 700 volunteers worked on implementing the Kyrgyz language in Google Translate. This is an excellent indicator of how people can help each other and promote a common cause independently. It is also possible to refine the content now. Users can independently add new options, thus improving the quality and quantity of translations of Kyrgyz words.

It should be noted that work on integrating the Kyrgyz language into Google’s translation service began back in 2004. However, at the state level, this work received support only in 2013. To include the Kyrgyz language in Google Translate, it was necessary to compile a thesaurus containing at least 1.3 million words.
