According to the head of the NISI KR, Talant Sultanov, the increase in the population growth rate in Kyrgyzstan is a sign of economic and political stability in the country. According to forecasts from the international organization Population Reference Bureau, by 2015, the number of Kyrgyz citizens will be 11.6 million people.
Currently, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have the highest growth rates. By 2050, the population of these countries will continue to grow. The demographic indicators of Turkmenistan are not expected to change significantly by 2050.
– The population of Kazakhstan will reach 24 million people by 2050. According to Kazakh experts, the main factor for population growth is the policy promoting family values. For example, since 2013, at the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has celebrated "Family Day," which falls on the second Sunday of September. In addition to ideological work, the state also provides material incentives for young families, – noted the press service of NISI.
