A border checkpoint for mountain tourists has been opened in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported on Wednesday, July 16, by the press service of the border troops of the republic to the News-Asia portal.
- From July 17 to September 1 of this year, international tourist groups will be allowed to cross through the bridge over the Karkyra River in the Chaar-Kuduk area of the Tyup district in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, outside the "Karkyra-road" checkpoint, - the press service of the Border Troops of the KR stated. - The passage of tourist groups will be carried out by prior arrangement with tourism companies and according to a pre-planned schedule for group movements.
It is noted that the checkpoint for mountain tourists was opened to effectively organize the tourist season and develop mountain tourism, as well as to implement agreements reached during the meeting on July 12, 2014, between the Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Let us remind you that on July 10, the Kyrgyz Republic transitioned to a 24-hour reception of tourists. Currently, six border checkpoints are operating around the clock, located in the Chui region: "Ak-Jol," "Chaldybar," "Ak-Tilek," "Ken-Bulun," "Kainy," and the "Manas" airport. The absence of time restrictions will remain in effect until the end of the tourist season.
