As of September 1, 2025, the permanent population of the Kyrgyz Republic reached 7 million 361 thousand people. This number has increased by 79.6 thousand, which corresponds to a growth of 1.1% since the beginning of the year.

From January to August 2025, 90.7 thousand newborns were recorded in the civil registry offices, which amounts to 18.6 per 1,000 residents (compared to 20.0 for the same period in 2024).
During the same time frame, 21.6 thousand deaths were registered — 4.4 per 1,000 population (in January–August 2024, this figure was 4.5). Thus, the natural population growth amounted to 69.1 thousand people or 14.2 per 1,000 population (compared to 15.4 in the previous year).
The highest level of natural growth is observed in the Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions, while the lowest level is recorded in the capital, Bishkek.
