The country continues to implement an initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses through the provision of affordable loans with low interest rates.
According to information from the Ministry of Finance, as of October 2, 2025, within the framework of the project "Preferential Lending for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic," 44 business entities have been financed for a total of 125.38 million soms.
This project was approved by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 354-r dated April 29, 2025, and has the following goals:
- support and development of the small and medium business sector;
- stimulating economic growth and combating poverty;
- regional development and support for a "green" economy;
- ensuring broad access to preferential loans for businesses and individuals.
The total financing volume for the project in 2025 amounts to 500 million soms.
This project is being implemented as part of the state policy aimed at creating optimal conditions for the growth of the private sector, activating entrepreneurial activity, and forming a sustainable economy in the country.
