The first international competition of epic storytellers of "Manas" has concluded in Urumqi.
The three-day competition was dedicated to the memory of the great manaschi Jusup Mamay. The competition began with a scientific discussion of the epic.
A delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by the national writer Beksultan Zhakiev, participated in the event as guests. The delegation also included national writer Kenesh Jusupov, scholars Tynchtykbek Choro Tegin, Cholpon Subakojoeva, Mirzat Rakyimbek uulu, and young manaschi Rysbay Isakov, Tilek Asan uulu, Dooletbek Sydykov, Ulan Ismailov.
The winners of the competition were Rysbay Isakov from Kyrgyzstan and Abdybek Oskon from China.
