A presentation of the epic trilogy of the Kyrgyz people "Manas", "Semetei", "Seitek", recorded from the words of akyns-manaschis S. Orozbakov, S. Karalaev, Togolok Moldoo, Sh. Rysmendeev, M. Musurmankulov, took place at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This combined version of the trilogy was first published in the 1960s, resulting from many years of research in the field of Manas studies by writers and scholars B. Yunusaliev, M. Auezov, T. Sydykbekov, A. Tokombaev, K. Malikov, B. Kerimzhanova, O. Zhakishov, K. Asanaliev, and others.
As reported at the presentation, this version of the epic contains the most complete compilation of the moral and ethical code of the Kyrgyz people, the quintessence of folk wisdom – which, in addition to its artistic and bibliographic value, represents an important phenomenon in the cultural life of the country.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Toktobubu Ashymbaeva, the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdygany Erkebayev, the Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdyldajan Akmataliev, prominent figures in art, culture, philology, and others.
In her speech, Deputy Minister T. Ashymbaeva noted that the epic "Manas" is studied in schools in subjects such as Kyrgyz literature, history of Kyrgyzstan, and man and society.
"Today, the Institute of Manas Studies has been opened at the I. Arabayev Kyrgyz State University, where students are trained in a budgetary form, specializing in 'Manas Studies'. This is an important step for the Kyrgyz people in the study of the epic 'Manas' for our young generation," said T. Ashymbaeva.
