On October 14, the Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Elvira Sarieva, met with athletes — paralympians Karabek uulu Talgat and Arstanbek Bazarkulov before their departure for the competitions. The young athletes will participate in the Asian Paralympic Games, which will be held from October 16 to 24, 2014, in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
Considering the importance of developing the Paralympic movement in the country and supporting sports, financial assistance has been allocated from the reserve fund of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for the athletes' participation in the Asian Paralympic Games.
Vice Prime Minister Elvira Sarieva wished Karabek uulu Talgat and Arstanbek Bazarkulov good health, strength of spirit, and success in the upcoming Asian Paralympic Games.
In turn, the athletes expressed their gratitude to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for the support. "For the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan, a representative delegation consisting of 7 athletes and coaches is going to the Paralympic Games. We are very pleased that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic responded promptly to our request for assistance, which allows athletes with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy to participate in the Asian Paralympic Games in Incheon, Republic of Korea," said Salamat Bekboev, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
