The event "International Cooperation in the Field of Distance Education" took place on August 14, 2013, as part of a joint initiative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy, and the Ecological Movement "BIOM". The main speakers were: Dr. Andrey Zybkin, Vice-Rector for Development of the Institute of Business and Law, Moscow, with a presentation on "Models of Organizing Distance Education. International Experience," and Associate Professor Svetlana Sirmbard, Rector of the Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy, with a presentation on "Practices of Distance Education in Kyrgyzstan."
