Tamash Meserich reported that the observer team has arrived in Kyrgyzstan and is ready to begin its work. Starting next week, 30 long-term observers will join them to monitor the electoral process across all regions of the country. Additionally, the OSCE has sent a request to deploy about 300 short-term observers to work during the elections.

Mission representatives expressed interest in participating in the meetings of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and working groups, emphasizing their readiness for active cooperation.

At the meeting, Tynchtyk Shainazarov spoke about the reform of the electoral system in Kyrgyzstan, focusing on transparency and preventing violations that occurred in previous elections.

“We have achieved the main goal – now the voter votes only once and for only one candidate, which eliminates the possibility of falsifications and other violations. This is indeed a significant achievement,” he noted.

Furthermore, the CEC chair emphasized that the new election system ensures fair representation of all regions in parliament, adherence to gender balance, and provides citizens with the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to participate in elections through remote voting.

During the meeting, participants were shown the operation of the remote voting equipment and the voting process itself.

Mission representatives showed great interest in the electoral equipment and the technical aspects of remote voting, asking numerous questions about the principles of the system's operation, voter identification mechanisms, and data security.

All their questions received detailed answers from CEC members.
