Members of the literary club and public foundations "Aitysh," "Kochmon," "Kalemger," and the public association "Ak Shumkar KUT Youth" held a meeting dedicated to the "Ancient Writing of the Kyrgyz" regarding its dissemination among the people. This was reported by the chairman of the public foundation "Kochmon," Ulan Usoyun.
According to him, the meeting discussed issues related to the modern use of the script and the restoration of letters.
"We decided to remove unnecessary letters and present this version to the public. And based on the results of the decisions, to conduct a vote," he said.
Thus, they propose the following for voting:
1. Based on the scientific names of the ancient writing of the Kyrgyz, Orkhon-Enisey, Runes, and Bitik, to avoid different naming, they suggested giving a common name "Ancient Writing of the Kyrgyz."
2. To adapt it to modern times, they proposed to write from left to right instead of right to left.
3. The voting decision was made to keep 30 letters, with each letter representing one sound.
4. In the application of the ancient writing, it was decided not to use the letters Ъ, Ь, Ю, Я, Ё, Е as in Cyrillic, since they did not exist in the ancient writing.
"All general proposals were accepted based on the voting, and all participants voted 'for.' These proposals were made as a public initiative, and in the future, scholars will express their opinions," he said.
He also noted that they are currently working on enabling those interested to install a program on their phones and computers for further study and use.
