This information was announced by the chairman of the Osh City Council, Bolot Bayetov.
According to him, the work is being carried out by a special commission that includes deputies and specialists from the mayor's office, as well as from the department of urban planning and architecture.
“Based on the resolutions adopted by the mayor's office and the city council, a special commission has been formed, which has already begun its activities,” Bayetov stated.
Dastan Murzaliev, head of the department of urban planning and municipal property of the mayor's office, added that the commission has held two meetings.
“The new general plan will be in effect for more than 15 years and will cover an area exceeding 35.5 hectares,” Murzaliev noted.
For reference, the previous general plan was in effect from 2016 to 2025, which is 9 years.
The leading specialist of the department of urban planning and architecture, Mirlan Ömüraliyev, explained that the old plan will remain in effect until the new document is approved.
Previously, this same commission developed a detailed plan for the central part of the city of Osh, covering 3.5 hectares, which has already received approval from the city council.
