According to Manas Koichukulov, the head of the municipal property management department of the city administration, it is planned to install 54 cameras that will cover about 80% of the city area.
“Cameras will be placed on main streets, intersections, and in areas with large crowds. Four cameras will be installed at each intersection, one of which will have the capability to recognize vehicle license plates. These devices can rotate 360 degrees. The installation of the equipment is expected to be completed by the end of October, after which the system will be handed over to the local police department,” Koichukulov added.
