As part of the discussion on the general plan for the city of Bishkek until 2050, which took place at the "Zhashtyk" arena, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev gathered experts and active citizens.

The event was also attended by Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov, Chief Architect of the capital Meder Kydyrmaev, and representatives from the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Urban Planning, who joined the meeting via video link.

According to the mayor's office, the main goal of the discussion is to gather professional opinions, recommendations, and proposals from specialists and interested citizens to improve the Bishkek General Plan project, making it of higher quality and more aligned with the needs of the city.

The mayor emphasized that the process of developing the general plan is open and takes into account the opinions of citizens: over 200 official proposals and more than 10,000 responses to surveys have been received. All expressed comments will be considered in the context of the city's overall interests and the long-term development of the capital.

The city leader stated: "We are open to discussions and want to hear expert opinions. If the proposals align with our strategy and vision for development, we are ready to consider and implement them."

More than 300 people participated in the event, having the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the presentation of the General Plan project, ask questions, and propose their ideas for its further improvement.
