At a press conference, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, reported that most of the proposals for the city's master plan until 2050 are coming from construction companies. Currently, over 3,000 proposals have been delivered to the city hall, and almost all of them originate from lobby structures.

“Today, I appeal to our developers. Out of the 3,000 requests we have received, 90% come from lobby companies. They demand the allocation of land for multi-story construction and ask us to consider their projects. If we follow these demands, we will have to relocate the entire country to Bishkek, which is unacceptable. We predict that by 2050, the population of the capital will grow to 2 million people, and the city's development policy must take into account the creation of conditions for these people,” the mayor noted.

It should be reminded that the master plan for Bishkek until 2050 is currently at the stage of public discussion. Public hearings will take place on December 24-25, and the final approval of the document is expected at the beginning of next year.
