At a press conference held on November 19, the mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, announced that in the new city master plan, some residential buildings have been included in the green zone. The mayor emphasized that this plan takes into account the administrative-territorial reform that was carried out in 2024, resulting in the territory of the capital increasing threefold, while the population reached 1.3 million residents.

In several districts, plots where residential buildings are located have been designated for the creation of parks and other green spaces.

The mayor noted: "In some cases, residential buildings have been included in the green zones in the master plan project. The work was carried out by specialists from the research institute in St. Petersburg, who relied on the data provided. Some documents were not processed in time, resulting in these plots currently being displayed as undeveloped. However, this does not mean that the houses will be demolished. We will make adjustments to align the data with reality. Citizens, do not succumb to panic and manipulation from speculators," he added.
