According to the city administration, the shutdown will affect residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens, medical facilities, and other social and domestic establishments, as well as industrial enterprises.
The shutdown area includes:
- Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue and the streets of Aini, Vodoprovodnaya, Sukhomlinova, Tselinnaya, Polytechnic, Tash-Kumyrskaya;
- the area of the old airport, including the "Ak-Keme" hotel.
The reason for the temporary water supply shutdown is repairs on a 300-millimeter diameter water pipeline.
