Due to ongoing repair work, access to the terminal for those meeting and seeing off passengers is restricted.
The Manas Airport terminal is temporarily open for certain categories of citizens: elderly people, mothers with children, and persons with disabilities. This was reported by the press service of the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".
Due to the repair work being carried out on the airport premises, vehicle access to the main terminal is also limited. Vehicles must turn around at the turnoff to the cargo terminal, which is located 500 meters from the main building.
To ensure the safety and convenience of passengers, access to the terminal is allowed only for the following groups of individuals:
• elderly people;
• mothers with small children;
• passengers with disabilities;
• individuals with serious health issues.
Temporary restrictions also apply to entry into the terminal for those meeting and seeing off passengers. Points will be organized within the airport terminal area where drinks and food will be sold.
Additionally, the OJSC noted that a closed waiting area will be created to provide comfortable conditions and protection from adverse weather conditions. Over the next two weeks, the distance when approaching the terminal will be reduced by 300 meters, simplifying access to the airport building.
“We urge passengers to take the current situation into account and plan their arrival time at the terminal and the completion of all necessary procedures before departure in advance to avoid delays. The management of OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" apologizes for the temporary inconveniences and thanks all passengers and guests for their understanding. All work is being carried out as part of the airport infrastructure modernization program aimed at improving the level of comfort and safety for passenger services,” the press service stated.
