French visas will start being issued in Bishkek.
Representatives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the opening of a visa center in Bishkek in the near future, which will issue visas for citizens of Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, the issue of opening a diplomatic representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in France is being discussed. This was reported by the press service of the domestic Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
It is specified that the aforementioned statements were made during working meetings and sessions of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and the National Assembly of France, which are taking place these days in Paris. Delegates from Kyrgyzstan participating in the meetings include representatives from five parliamentary factions: Irina Karamushkina (SDPK), Maiрамкуль Tilenchieva ("Ar-Namys"), Gulasal Sadyrbaeva ("Ata Meken"), Urmat Amanbaeva ("Respublika"), and Kantemir Murzabekov ("Ata-Jurt"). The delegation also included the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belgium, Asein Isaev. The French side was led by the chairman of the Friendship Group "France-Kyrgyzstan," Jean-Paul Chanteg.
The agenda included issues of summarizing and prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as an exchange of experiences regarding practical activities.
Meetings were also held with the leadership of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a visit to a hydroelectric company providing electricity to the southern part of France, and an introduction to the Agency for "International Justice Cooperation," which intends to implement a three-year project in Kyrgyzstan worth €10 million focused on the rule of law.
