In Bishkek, electricity consumption has significantly decreased to 9 million 735 thousand kWh thanks to the implementation of the "Silence Law," as reported by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev.
The mayor noted that the established limit for the capital is 10 million 45 thousand kWh. However, until November 13, consumption exceeded this norm and amounted to 11 million 133 thousand kWh.
"We conducted a raid in restaurants and cafes on November 13 to check compliance with the 'Silence Law.' After this explanatory work, electricity consumption significantly decreased. Currently, this figure stands at 9 million 735 thousand kWh per day — a level we have not reached before," the mayor added.
Aibek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of continuing explanatory work to maintain the achieved results.
"Mass events can be held from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. For example, at the concert the day before yesterday in the small arena. Catering establishments can operate, but they should also save electricity as much as possible. I instruct the akims to conduct explanatory activities on this issue," he noted.
