The authorities of Bishkek have established new restrictions for catering establishments as part of the enforcement of the noise law.

According to the press service of the city hall, owners of cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, and other similar establishments are prohibited from holding celebrations and cultural events, as well as operating after 10:00 PM.

Furthermore, events associated with loud music and other activities that disrupt public order in the evening are also banned.

However, establishments located away from residential areas may use generators, provided they strictly adhere to the requirements of the Law of Kyrgyzstan "On Noise."

District administrations, together with the municipal inspection, must monitor compliance with these regulations and organize regular inspections.

It should be noted that the noise law was adopted in December of last year. It does not prohibit holding events after 10:00 PM, but it restricts the use of loud music. In an interview on November 13, the head of the State National Security Committee expressed dissatisfaction that establishments are not complying with the law's requirements and instructed local authorities and law enforcement agencies to impose restrictions on such establishments. Tashiev also noted that in case of violation of this ban, establishments may be disconnected from the power supply.
