Some parents of students from Bishkek schools reported on social media that extracurricular activities after 6:00 PM are being canceled.

One mother noted that at School No. 38, classes held after 6:00 PM have also been canceled, and students must leave the school premises by 5:45 PM. This is due to restrictions on electricity supply during evening hours.

Other users in the comments reported a similar situation in schools in the village of Belovodsk and the city of Kara-Balta.

However, Bishkek's Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva clarified in an interview with Kaktus.media that the educational process is not being suspended.

The city administration denied rumors about the closure of educational institutions due to the energy crisis.

“The information about the suspension of the educational process in the capital's schools is false,” the city administration stated.

They emphasized that the educational and upbringing process in all educational institutions of Bishkek continues as usual, according to the approved curricula. No classes, including clubs and extracurricular activities, are being canceled.

Work has been done with the administration of School No. 38 to clarify the situation.

The city administration urges residents to rely on official sources of information and not to believe rumors from social media,” they added.

We remind you that earlier the government imposed restrictions on the use of outdoor lighting in state and administrative buildings after 6:00 PM.
