Victoria Mozgacheva also highlighted the importance of prompt response to such incidents and familiarized herself with the current situation by meeting with the parents of the affected children.
In addition, the city hall instructed all schools in the city, regardless of their ownership, to strictly monitor compliance with nutrition rules. No changes to the approved menu, coordinated with medical professionals, are permissible.
The Bishkek City Hall also urged the heads of educational institutions to pay increased attention to safety issues and the quality of food for students.
We remind you that the mass poisoning occurred on October 31 at one of the private schools in the capital. A total of 58 people sought help at the infectious diseases hospital, including 54 children and 4 adults, all of whom had consumed shawarma from the school cafeteria. Among them, 7 children and 2 adults were hospitalized, while the others received necessary assistance and were directed for outpatient treatment.
According to the data from the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, a total of 84 people were affected. Of these, 79 sought help at the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital, where tests were conducted, and 5 individuals visited private medical facilities.
