According to Kozhomberdieva, catering establishments are not allowed to charge separately for the serving of dishes, table setting, or other services apart from the main price of the order. All service costs must be included in the price indicated in the menu or price list available to the customer before placing an order. The final amount must correspond to the price published in the price list.
She also noted that concerns about price increases for dishes due to the cancellation of service charges are unfounded. "Some claim that price increases are inevitable since establishments use this fee to pay the wages of waiters and other expenses. However, wages should be paid by employers, not customers," emphasized Kozhomberdieva.
Additionally, she warned that administrative measures are in place for non-compliance with the new regulation.
