According to the administration, the main reasons for dissatisfaction are speeding, riding on sidewalks, and unauthorized parking near pedestrian crossings and bus stops.
“Such actions pose a threat to the safety of pedestrians, including children and people with disabilities,” the city hall noted, adding that all violations need to be addressed and brought in line with the legislative norms governing rental and taxi services.
If violations continue, the city hall warned of the possibility of suspending the activities of companies that do not ensure compliance with established rules.
The municipal authorities also remind companies engaged in rental and delivery using personal mobility devices, as well as taxi drivers, of the necessity to strictly adhere to the legislation.
According to the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 183 dated April 7, 2025, and No. 191 dated April 9, 2025:
- Individuals over 14 years old may use personal mobility devices (PMDs) where there is cycling infrastructure and appropriate weight;
- Mopeds are allowed for use only from the age of 16, and their movement on sidewalks and pedestrian paths is prohibited;
- PMDs must have a speed limiter of up to 25 km/h, brakes, a horn, reflectors, and a headlight;
- Companies are required to monitor the movement of PMDs and prevent them from being left in public places;
- Users are responsible for violations of traffic rules and any damage caused.
