According to the provided information, road transport continues to hold a leading position in the field of transportation. Last year, over 54 million tons of cargo were transported, accounting for more than 80% of the total volume of freight transport. A large portion of the transportation is carried out by individual entrepreneurs, especially in Bishkek, Talas, and Chui regions, where the highest volumes have been recorded.
Road transport is also the primary means for passenger transportation, with over 90% of passengers using buses and taxis. In 2024, individuals transported 436 million passengers (about 70%), while specialized enterprises transported 178 million (approximately 30%). Additionally, transportation by buses and electric buses has increased almost threefold.
The highest passenger flow is noted in Bishkek and the Chui region.
