In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, employees of the Department for Combating Organized Crime conducted a raid during which a vehicle was stopped with a driver in a state of alcohol intoxication.
According to the press service of this department, during the inspection, one of the passengers exited the vehicle and began to behave aggressively, insulting the police officers.
“Despite repeated demands to cease his actions, the citizen did not respond, which led to his detention and delivery to the temporary detention facility of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek. According to the results of a medical examination, both the driver and the passenger had consumed alcohol,” the press service reported.
The vehicle was sent to the impound lot, and a protocol for the offense was drawn up against the driver.
“Dear drivers! Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol is a serious violation of the law and poses a threat to the life and safety of other citizens. Remember: a drunk driver is a potential criminal,” the police urged.
