According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District, the incident took place on October 25 at around 02:00 at the intersection of Ömür and Dolon-Biy streets. At the moment when Talaibekov's BMW was rear-ended by a Toyota Will at a traffic light, a quarrel arose between the drivers, during which the four men in the Toyota attacked Talaibekov.
Medical examinations conducted by the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District confirmed that all participants in the conflict were under the influence of alcohol.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 280 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and necessary examinations were appointed. The suspects in the attack: J.A. (born in 1997), S.A. (born in 1997), E.A. (born in 1997), and S.E. (born in 1997) are currently in a temporary detention facility.
It is worth noting that Mirlan Talaibekov has held the position of head of the Municipal Inspection of the Bishkek City Hall since July 25, 2025. Previously, he worked as an inspector in the press service of the Bishkek City Public Safety Management.
