According to information provided by the local veterinary department, the dog that attacked the child had previously shown aggression. The animal was not on a leash, although its owner was required to keep it chained from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. After the incident, the dog was isolated and placed under observation for ten days. Veterinarians found no signs of rabies in the animal.
According to the local Center for General Medical Practice, the boy died before he could be taken to the hospital. Doctors confirmed the death at the scene; however, the family transported the body to the Kara-Kulja hospital, where medical staff confirmed the death.
The grandfather, who was injured in the attack, received necessary medical assistance, including a rabies vaccination.
The tragic incident occurred on the evening of October 22. An investigation is currently underway, and relevant examinations have been appointed.
