The head of the Cabinet of Ministers and the head of the President's Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, congratulated the workers of the automotive and road sectors on their professional holiday.

“Dear workers of the automotive transport and road sectors, as well as esteemed veterans of the industry!
I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday!
Roads are the key arteries of Kyrgyzstan, serving as the foundation for the development of our economy. It is precisely because of quality roads that the integration of various sectors, such as production, trade, and services, occurs, creating conditions for comprehensive growth. The state of the road infrastructure directly affects the dynamics of regional development and the level of domestic and international tourism.
Every year, thanks to the efforts of road workers, thousands of kilometers of roads are constructed in Kyrgyzstan. In 2024, 802 kilometers were paved, and in the current year — more than 1,150 kilometers. Since 2021, over 101.7 billion soms have been allocated for the development of the transport and road sector. These significant funds have allowed for the construction of more than 3,048 kilometers of roads, of which 2,453 kilometers have asphalt surfaces. Among the strategically important projects is the highway through the city of Cholpon-Ata, which has already been put into operation, as well as the corridor Osh – Batken – Razakov, the construction of which is nearing completion; the construction of the Barskoon – Bedel road, which has high transit potential, has also begun.
To enhance the efficiency of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, 750 units of specialized equipment have been purchased in recent years using funds from the Road Fund, and an additional 484 units are planned to be added in 2026.
The increase in these indicators indicates positive dynamics in the sector. The projects being implemented will be significant steps in improving the road infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan.
I want to express special gratitude to everyone who has dedicated their life to the development of the road and automotive transport sector — to the road workers who, despite the cold winters and hot summers, work around the clock on the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, as well as to the transport workers who ensure the transportation of 95% of passengers and 60% of cargo in the country. Special words of appreciation go to our veterans, who laid the foundations of the road and automotive transport complex and made an invaluable contribution to its development.
