“Among the university's walls worked the founder of Kyrgyz literature, Kasym Tynystanov; here studied the famous poet Alykul Osmonov, and Turdakun Usubaliev, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, received his education,” noted Kasymaliev.

He added that KNU became the foundation for the establishment of new universities, research institutes, and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, initiating the development of education and science in the country and becoming a catalyst for the intellectual growth of Kyrgyzstan.

Kasymaliev also reported that President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree awarding the university the Order of “Manas” III degree for its contribution to the development of the educational system and science in the country.
