During a working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, Adylbek Kasymaliev, head of the cabinet of ministers and the presidential administration, participated in a ceremonial event dedicated to the laying of a capsule for the construction of a solid waste processing plant. This was reported by the government press service.

Kasymaliev emphasized that large-scale investment initiatives are being implemented in the country aimed at improving the environmental situation and raising the standard of living for citizens through waste-to-energy processing. He added that the Chinese company "Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection" is implementing similar projects in Bishkek, Osh, and the Issyk-Kul region in collaboration with local partners.

In the first phase, it is planned to build technological stations in the Ak-Suu district and the city of Balykchy, which will be able to process up to 600 tons of waste daily. In the future, taking into account the volume of waste, the investor plans to expand the project, including the construction of additional processing lines.

The expected volume of investments at this stage is about $140 million.
