The construction of the waste disposal plant began in August 2024, and currently about 80% of all work has been completed. Initially, 12 hectares of land were allocated for the project, but construction is actually taking place on a site of 6 hectares. The plant is expected to be commissioned on December 28.
Additionally, the akim noted that the construction of the slag and lime processing plants is ongoing. The necessary equipment for the lime processing plant is planned to be installed by November 5, and its launch is also scheduled for December.
“These plants will operate in conjunction. For example, if 1,000 tons of waste are disposed of in a day, 200 tons consist of slag and ash. The concrete work at the slag processing plant has been completed, and equipment installation is currently underway. We plan to put it into operation in December,” he added.
