Alagozov noted that, by the directive of the head of state, emergency services employees are working daily at the lake, cleaning it of fishing nets and trash.
“It seems the lake is starting to breathe. Please do not leave trash either on the shore or in the water. Our actions determine what we will leave Issyk-Kul: clean and alive or depleted from human irresponsibility,” he added.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of 2023, a large-scale campaign has been launched to clean the lake and its surroundings from trash and nets.
According to the emergency services, in 2023, 218,100 meters of fishing nets were removed from the water bodies, in 2024 — 112,100 meters, and in the current year — 85,400 meters. Over the past three years, specialists have also released tons of fry into the lake and continue their work to clean it from nets.
