Lake Suttyu-Bulak or "Milk Lake"
The lake is located in the "Semenovskoye" gorge on the northern shore of Lake "Issyk-Kul" at an altitude of 2700 meters above sea level, the road to the gorge passes through the village of Semenovka.
The lake was formed in 1910 as a result of a strong Vernensky earthquake; it is remarkably beautiful, with water that appears somewhat murky – milky, as if milk has been poured into a cup of tea without stirring. The depth of this lake is about 20 meters, the water is clear with a bluish tint, the temperature of the water is approximately 5 degrees, and you can see wild ducks swimming on the lake. There are interesting wooden stumps – remnants of trees covered with strands of aquatic plants.
On clear days, the play of sunlight on the water's surface reflects all the colors of the rainbow. And all of "this" is framed by high Tien Shan firs and snowy peaks that majestically reflect in the mirror of the waters.
The left slopes are particularly picturesque, covered with dense thickets of shrubs: sea buckthorn, rose hips, barberry, honeysuckle, currants, and many mushrooms.
Once, there were many trout in the lake, but unfortunately, human presence has not had a favorable impact on the flora and fauna, and now there are no fish. However, there are stunningly beautiful sunrises, the sound of a mountain stream, fresh mountain air, the greenery of fir trees and mountain grass, and of course, the unique beauty of the "Milk Lake"!
