Diving at Lake Chatyr-Kul

Geographical information: Chatyr-Kul (Chatyr-Köl) is a closed lake in the Central Tien Shan, Kyrgyzstan. It is located in the Ak-Sai Valley, near the Torugart Pass leading to China. In Kyrgyz, it means "Heavenly Lake."
The lake's elevation above sea level is 3500m, the maximum depth is 16m, the length of the shoreline is 58km, the surface area is 153.5 sq. km, and the water volume is 610 million m³.
Diving at Chatyr-Kul is possible. A road to China runs past the lake to the city of Kashgar. Access to the lake is not available everywhere, as the shores are marshy. There are rocky outcrops in the eastern part of the lake. There is no precise information about the underwater world of the lake. According to unverified data, the bottom of the lake consists of glacial deposits mixed with soil. There is no data on the flora and fauna of the lake.
