The total volume of harvested grain amounted to over 1.5 million tons in initially recorded weight, which is 18.2% less compared to the same period last year.
The decrease in the overall grain harvest is associated with a decline in the yield of cereal crops in the Chuy and Talas regions.
Of the total volume of harvested grain, more than 423 thousand tons, accounting for 27%, was obtained in the Chuy region. In particular, 180 thousand tons (35%) of wheat and 147 thousand tons (33%) of barley were harvested.
