The Ministry of Health insists on the need to change building regulations for educational institutions.

According to current sanitary rules, primary classes cannot be located above the third floor. However, as part of the transition to a 12-year education system and the increase in the number of students, the Ministry of Health proposes to amend the SanPin. The draft of the new regulation is already available for public discussion.

In conditions of dense construction and a shortage of available land in some areas, it is proposed to allow the construction of four-story buildings for primary classes. It is important to note that the upper floor will not house classrooms, but rather administrative, recreational, and additional spaces for teachers.

Earlier, it was reported that the government granted permission for the opening of private schools and kindergartens on the first floors of residential buildings. In Bishkek, following the president's directive, a new building for School No. 40 was recently opened in a residential complex from GIK on the first floor. See what the classrooms look like.
