Representatives of OpenAI stated that they expect users to comply with the service usage rules. Violating these rules may lead to the blocking of access to the company's systems or other sanctions.
Additionally, the company noted that the use of their technologies is prohibited for threats, intimidation, defamation, and other forms of violence, as well as for the promotion of suicide, eating disorders, sexual violence, and terrorism. Gambling for money and the creation, purchase, or use of weapons are also prohibited.
OpenAI has also restricted the ability to create images of people without their consent, including realistic portraits and synthetic voices, as well as predicting crimes based on personal data.
The protection of minors has also become a key aspect of the new rules: criticizing children's appearances, promoting unhealthy eating, and accessing age-restricted content are now prohibited.
Earlier, on October 14, Sam Altman, the head of OpenAI, announced on X about the company's plans to introduce access to erotic content for verified adult users starting in December 2025.
Furthermore, The Wall Street Journal reported that ChatGPT has begun to produce more erroneous and illogical responses, leading to a lack of trust among users. Nick Terly, a representative of OpenAI, noted that the company takes this issue seriously and is consulting with doctors in the development of new models.
