The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced a significant expansion of the list of non-profit organizations that are now required to submit consolidated reports on their income and expenses to the tax authorities. This was reported by the press service of the STS.

According to the recently adopted law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic Regarding the Reporting of Certain Non-Profit Organizations," political parties, trade unions, religious organizations, and cooperatives have now been added to the list of such organizations. These entities are required to report annually on monetary receipts, expenses, as well as the movement of their property, including acquisition, use, and disposal.

All reports must be submitted in electronic format through the taxpayer's cabinet by April 1 of each year.

The STS noted that these changes were implemented in accordance with a decision of the Constitutional Court aimed at creating a unified legal regime for reporting for all public associations.

Previously, mandatory reporting only applied to public associations, funds, institutions, and associations of legal entities funded by grants, which was regulated by the KR Law "On Non-Profit Organizations."
