A blogger from Kyrgyzstan accused a resident of Tokmok on the Instagram platform of deceiving citizens: she promised treatment in the "Kyrgyz national style," but instead of providing help, she took money by arranging loans in the names of citizens and embezzling the funds.
As a result, a preliminary investigation was initiated, which confirmed the facts that the Tokmok resident indeed extorted money from local residents under various pretexts.
The victim, who contacted the police, reported that from February to October 2024, she had given the fake healer 1 million 500 thousand soms.
The case has been registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The law enforcement authorities detained the suspect, M.E., born in 1984, and the court decided to arrest her.
In addition, two more similar complaints have been registered at the Tokmok Internal Affairs Department. Law enforcement officials do not rule out the possibility of other victims.
