A complaint was received by the police from a resident of the village of Dmitrievka in the Issyk-Ata district. The man reported that he was contacted through acquaintances by a so-called "specialist" in video surveillance installation, who offered his services, claiming to use "high-quality and expensive equipment." He even demonstrated examples of his work.
Agreeing to the offer, the villager handed over 101,000 soms to the fraudster for eight cameras and installation. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that the "master" was merely creating the illusion of fulfilling the order, using second-hand equipment instead of new. The installation was never completed, and the suspect fled.
This crime was registered under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detained individual turned out to be K.P., born in 1994, who was taken into custody.
According to the investigation, in December 2019, he registered a company called OsOO "MT" with the Ministry of Justice, where he was both the founder and the director.
Using legitimate business activities as a cover, the suspect posted advertisements for video surveillance system installation with the aim of deceiving citizens and stealing their money. It was also established that he was involved in similar crimes in other regions and in Bishkek, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Department.
