According to the provided data, inmates in correctional facilities are engaged in the production of a variety of products, including bread, agricultural goods, bricks, "Egoza" wire, craft bags, as well as wooden and metal products.
"Currently, 1,800 inmates are involved in labor. Of the total number of convicts, about 30 percent are able to work. This work contributes to the positive socialization of the convicts. We plan to ensure employment for all citizens serving their sentences by 2027. In addition, there is an intention to expand cooperation with state enterprises and the private sector to fulfill production orders," noted Chingiz Kozhoshev, head of the SPS.
